Rockford Police Investigate Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash

Rockford Police are searching for leads after a fatal hit-and-run crash on the city's west side.

According to a press release, officers responded to the 4000 block of Auburn Street on Sunday afternoon in reference to a traffic accident. Upon arrival, they located a 58-year-old male victim. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Officials say a black pick-up truck traveling westbound hit the man and kept going.

The victim has been identified, however his name is not being released at this time.
