One Person Dead In Boone County Crash

One person is dead following a single-vehicle crash in Boone County.

According to our partners at Eyewitness News it happened earlier this morning:

Police say that a car was traveling eastbound on Quail Trap Road near Caledonia but lost control of the vehicle near a curve and struck a tree. Only one person was in the car at the time and that person was killed instantly.

The name of the victim has not yet been released.

At the moment officials have the roads blocked near the intersection of the crash. We'll update with further details as they become available.
