Some feel that until the defending state champions get beat they deserve to be ranked first in the state. While I understand that thinking.

In our Stateline Sports Hub, we go by this season only and an overall gut feeling of who may be a little better now. Forreston just survived West Carroll last week. Lena-Winslow has not been challenged and has been our top-ranked team all season.

This Friday's head to head game will decide it for the moment. However, the most important game between the two powers will be if they meet in the playoffs no matter what round it would be. Last year after Lena-Winslow won in the regular season. It was Forreston who won the rematch in the state semifinal and went on to win the 1A State title.
