Charles "Peanut" TIllman was a one-of-a-kind player and now he's trying to do something no other NFL player has done after retirement. Become an FBI agent.

The prolific puncher of footballs has always marched to the beat of a different drummer and has also been interested in criminal justice ever since he was in college.

ESPN - Tillman, 36, earned a criminal justice degree from Louisiana-Lafayette... (His) interest in possibly joining the FBI after football dates back to his playing career, during which Tillman... occasionally observed and worked alongside law enforcement officials during offseasons.

I've personally met Charles many times while working in sports radio. I can personally attest to the fact that he's one of the smartest and most determined people I've ever met. My only reservation about him becoming an FBI agent is that he's just too darn nice. Seriously one of the friendliest people you'll ever meet.

I still remember the time he let basically anyone around him carry a football and he'd try (and succeed) to punch it out of your hands. We treated it like a party trick and he was more than willing to do this for as long as we wanted, even going as far as to explain to everyone what his technique was.

I don't know much about FBI agents other than what I see in movies but they're never sweet people looking to make everyone's day better.

Here's hoping Peanut the best. I just hope that smiling too much doesn't get him kicked out of the force.
