Don't worry, the Cubs still won so this is pretty cool.

Nick Martini graduated from Prairie Ridge High School in Crystal Lake more than a decade ago. He finally made it back to Illinois to play professional baseball and his family will never forget it.

Martini's 2-run homer in the top of the eighth cut the Cubs lead in half but the North Siders held on to win the game by a margin of one.

It was obviously a big deal for his family, who were watching Nick from the bleachers. Not sure exactly who was who in the video above but I'm pretty sure I saw some tears in there.

This is Martini's second stint with the A's. He played in a handful of games last year and was recently called up to the MLB club earlier this season.

Good luck to the Crystal Lake native, just pump your brakes a little when at Wrigley.
