The IHSA boys track finals team points are based on places in the finals. The Thursday Prelims was to advance as many as possible to the finals.

In the Preliminary Thursday at Charleston from the NUIC, Forreston/Polo advanced to the finals in five events and Lena-Winslow in four.

Rockford Christian from the Stateline won the Oregon Sectional and advanced in eight events including all four relays. Along with Riley Wells the top time in the 800 1:55.28. Brent Brunner in the 1600. Noah Fulcomer in the high hurdles and Brad Wood in the pole vault.

Ian Hussing of Oregon will battle Wells in the 800 and also made the 1600 finals.

Chandler Ellis of Winnebago in the 300 hurdles. Amboy's Thomas Stamberger also in the 800. Max Sager of Pecatonica/Durand just missed in the 200 but qualified in the 400 meters (50.99).

For Forreston/Polo, A.J Christensen made the finals where he will go for state championships in both the 110 high hurdles and 300 Intermediate hurdles and will be in the finals in three events.

They also hope to get points from Jace Coffee in the discus and Brady Webb in the long jump. And the 1600 meter relay team of Evan Kelsey, Christensen, Webb and Cailean Davids.

F/P missed out on two more possible finalists. Reid Taylor's foul knocked him out of the triple jump. And the 400-meter relay team with the seventh-best time had a DQ on a false start.

Lena-Winslow's Rahveon Valentine will be in the finals in three events. He just missed the 200 finals, but made the 100 and joined Isaiah Bruce, Gaige Schwartz, and Ty Chrisman to qualify in the 400 and 800 sprint relays. Bruce also made the shot put finals.
