Rockford Raptors to have college signing event for 11 players

The Rockford Raptors youth soccer club will have a college signing day on July 26 at the Indoor Sports Center (ISC) for 11 players who have committed to college programs this fall.

The players who have committed to play in the fall are:

• Gaige Cervantes: Rockford University, Rockford, IL
• Carson Davenport: Luther College , Decorah, IA
• Austin Lombardi: North Central College, Naperville, IL
• Connor McGarry: Loras College, Dubuque, IA
• Tigrio Huerta: Loras College, Dubuque, IA
• Kenny Velez: Elmhurst College, Elmhurst, IL
• Tony Diaz: Loras College, Dubuque, IA
• Aidan Keefe: Macalester College, St. Paul, MN.
• Carlos Galvan: Rockford University, Rockford, IL
• Jack Iturbide: University of Dubuque
• Ruben Cisneros: University of Dubuque

Cervantes was a first-team all-NIC-10 defender for Auburn this past school year. Davenport (goalie), Lombardi (midfield), McGarry (midfield) and Keefe (defender) were all first-team all-NIC-10 players for Boylan. And Galvan was a first-team all-NIC-10 midfielder for Guilford.

Raptors girls players have already had their signing ceremony. The girls Raptors moving on are:
