Got to spend some time with Amy Ott from the Rockford Airfest this morning, and she was brimming with details about the upcoming Rockford Airfest 2015.

Some particulars:

  • June 6th and 7th at the Chicago Rockford International Airport
  • Gates open and 9am and close at 5pm each day
  • Air performances will begin each day at 11am
  • The featured performers are the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, back with us for the first time since 2007
  • Additional performers include the F22 Raptor Demo Team, the U.S. Army Golden Knights, the Aeroshell Aerobatic Team
  • Airfest will also feature incredible static displays from across the country, including the oldest flying jet in the world, the F-86 SABRE
  • RFD is bringing back its new and simplified carload admission fee designed to significantly reduce gate entrance wait times
  • $30 advanced ticket sale/ $40 on-site ticket fee per carload. Advanced online ticket sales end Friday, May 29th
  • Tickets are currently available online at rockfordairfest.com and participating Culver's restaurants
  • Active and retired military with proper ID will receive complimentary preferred seating with their carload admission fee
