I am absolutely the Rockford resident who chooses to focus on all the good, and none of the bad, that is happening in this community. Maybe that isn't the wisest thing to do, but hey, it helps keep me happy ,and I ain't go no time for haters. That being said, it always thrills me to see all the growth and positive news that comes out of  the Chicago Rockford International Airport, and today's news is no exception.

According to the Rockford Register Star; global aerospace company, AAR Corp., has just inked a new partnership with United Airlines that will bring 250 new maintenance technician jobs to the Chicago Rockford International Airport. These new employees will perform airframe maintenance on some of United Airlines' aircraft at the AAR Corp.'s facility in Rockford, and the hiring process is already underway.

The RRStar article reports;

AAR will continue to leverage its EAGLE Career Pathway Program with a nationwide network of schools, including Rock Valley College, to help students enrolled in the company’s Airframe and Powerplant program land aviation jobs at AAR facilities.

AAR has also engaged with Rockford Workforce Connection to expand the number of local technicians while supporting specialized training in the aviation field.

AAR's new agreement with United Airlines officially begins this June, but there are  several position openings for Rockford already listed on AAR's website. To see the listings and qualifications for each position, and to apply right now, go to aarcorp.com/careers.
