Yesterday in this space, we were talking about bucket lists. In particular, bucket lists that are specific to Illinoisans ("Is This The Ultimate Bucket List for Illinoisans?"). Well, thanks to the good folks at Rock Valley College Community and Continuing Education, you've got a chance to cross off one of those bucket list items.

Which item am I referring to? A visit to Wrigley Field, which comes in at the #2 spot on the Ultimate Illinois Bucket List (right behind Shawnee National Forest), but should totally be in the #1 position.

The Rock Valley College Community and Continuing Education trip on Tuesday, July 11th is not a trip to a Cubs game, though.

It's a full-blown VIP-experience private tour! You'll get an exclusive walking tour of historic Wrigley Field led by your own personal tour guide. You'll visit:

  • The seating bowl
  • Press boxes
  • Budweiser Bleachers
  • Visitor's clubhouse
  • Cubs dugout
  • The playing field

Afterwards, it's lunch at the famous Cubby Bear, followed by time to wander around the newly-renovated plaza space, shop in the Cubs Store, and check out other shopping opportunities around the stadium.

The tour will happen rain or shine, and you're welcome to bring still and/or video cameras into the ballpark (they draw the line at tripods).

As someone who's always wanted a behind-the-scenes look at the Friendly Confines, this sounds like a great trip--and for me, it would be the chance to cross off one more bucket list item.

Tickets are $109 per person, and for more information or to register for the trip, click here, or call (815) 921-3900.
