NUIC Week 6 Recap

A couple of good close games highlighted the action in the NUIC Friday.
In the South, Aquin had to outscore E/PC to get by with a 34-27 win. Also in the South West Carroll gave Forreston it's first tight game of the year, they battled before falling to the Cardinals 38-36. In the South saw two winless teams play to a scoreless tie in regulation. Milledgeville socred the touchdown in overtime to win 8-0 over A/FC.
In the crossover game, Galena notched their first win of the season over Amboy 41-6.
In the North Dakota evened their record at 3-3 as they beat East Dubuque 28-12. Lena-Winslow beat Orangeville 46-7 and Stockton looked impressive in a 28-0 shutout of Du/Pec.
In 8 man football Polo (6-0) and River Ridge (5-1) are both unbeaten in the Conference. Warren/Blackhawk have now won all seven outings for the Wisconsin Coop.
Stateline Sports Hub media picks five all went unbeaten at 7-0 on the week including Scott Leber WTVO, Matt Trowbridge Rockford Register Star/Freeport Journal-Standard, Terry Werntz former Dakota and Freeport coach. Mike Buda WIFR TV and Tim O'Hallaran Edgy Tim Publisher.
Leber now leads with a 40-2 record. Tied for second are Kyle Kampmier of the NUIC Football Fanatics and Trowbridge, both 39-3.
