The Cubs were one of the more active teams right before MLB's trade deadline earlier this afternoon. 

The action started yesterday with the addition of Jose Martinez:

What does this move mean to the Cubs? Not a whole bunch. It will be another bat to bring off the bench and a possible sub for Anthony Rizzo at first base if he needs a day off.

Then today the Cubs made three more deals. The biggest of which was getting Cameron Maybin from the Tigers:

What does this mean for the Cubs? It probably immediately means that Albert Almora is no longer on the big league team when Maybin gets inserted into the outfield lineup.

What do these moves mean? Two more arms for a bullpen that is struggling. Expect them both to see early action as soon as they join the team.
