The postseason push is in full effect this week for the Winter Team of the Week.

We're looking for who had the best week and awarding them our Team of the Week honors and a $100 Visa gift card to use towards their program.

Another big shout out to Rock Valley College for sponsoring this winter long contest.

Each weekend through the winter season we will be taking nominations for the team of the week. You can nominate a team from Friday afternoon till Sunday night. Every Monday we will gather up the nominations and then put it up to a vote on the 1440wrok.com website.

The winning team will be announced during the morning show on WROK with RIley and Joe and receive a $100 Visa card for their program. At the end of the season, all weekly winners will go up against each other to be named Team of the Season and receive a $500 Visa card for their program.

  • Auburn Boy's Basketball

The Auburn Knights find themselves back in contention for Team of the Week after edging Hononegah by 1 point to win their Regional and march on to the Sectional in Huntley.

  • South Beloit Boy's Basketball

The South Beloit boys locked up a Regional title of their own with a win over Hinckley Big Rock and move onto Sectional action in Pecatonica this Wednesday.

  • Rockford Christian Boy's Basketball

Rockford Christian secured a two point win over Wheaton Academy on Friday to clinch a Regional title and move on to Sectional action in Marengo. One more win by the Lions could mean another epic matchup with their crosstown rivals Rockford Lutheran.
