Jay Cost is the author of A Republic No More: Big Government and the Rise of American Political Corruption, which traces corruption from the beginning of the nation to the present day. He also wrote Spoiled Rotten and currently is a writer for the Weekly Standard. He returned to the show this week to talk about his new mini-book, What's So Bad About Cronyism?, available now:

Worse, modern cronyism has become embedded into the laws themselves, so politicians in Washington assume that such corruption is just the way things should be. To confront the dangers of cronyism, reformers need to think outside the box, paying special attention to how the political process functions.
