For those looking to increase their earning capabilities, I've got some good news, courtesy of our friend, John Strandin, at the Workforce Connection. UPS will be recruiting tomorrow, September 29th, from 9am-Noon, at the Workforce Connection, 303 N. Main in Rockford, on the third floor of the SuppyCore Building. They're looking to fill seasonal package handler positions at the Rockford Airport.

From The Workforce Connection press release:

This is a physical, fast-paced position that involves lifting, lowering and sliding packages that typically weigh 25 - 35 lbs. and may weigh up to 70 lbs. Part-time employees usually work 2 ½ - 3 ½ hours per night (Monday through Thursday and Saturday) M-TH start time is between 11:30pm-Midnight, Saturday between 5pm-6pm. Package handlers receive a competitive hourly rate. Please note that these opportunities are working part-time approximately 12-15 hours per week.
Pay rate is $10.10/hour.
