When VanVleet checked in for the Toronto Raptors in the final minute of a Nov. 9, 2016, game against Oklahoma City he became the first NIC-10 player to appear in a NBA game since Chad Gallagner played two games for Utah in February 1994.

VanVleet ended up playing in 37 regular season and seven playoff games for the Raptors, scoring 121 points.
