The Bears Are Unveiling 2 New Statues At Soldier Field
Chicago sure does love itself some statues, don't they.
Harry Carey and Michael Jordan will soon have two more iconic Chicago sports statues joining their ranks.
ChicagoBears.com - The Bears on Wednesday announced that they will unveil statues of legendary Hall of Famers Walter Payton and George S. Halas outside of Gate 0 at Soldier Field on Tuesday, Sept. 3, two days before they kick off their centennial season by hosting the rival Green Bay Packers.
The statues will be 12-feet high and weigh 1.5 tons. They're going to be huge.
