Of all the different events in the Rockford area, the annual snow-sculpting competition is Mother Nature's favorite one to mess with.

And she's done so again in 2019. Unseasonably warm temperatures and snow sculpting are long-time enemies, and this year it seems as though the temperatures have won round one.

Even though organizers had started making snow for the event, temperatures nearing the 50 degree mark forced a postponement of the festivities. Sculpting was set to begin on January 16th, but has now been moved to February 6th through the 9th.
