Maybe it's just me, but as 'normalcy' begins to return and things slowly start reopening, I'm itching to get out there and do all the things.

Of course I still worry about COVID, and will take the proper precautions, but it's way past time to get out there and enjoy life again. My kids need to get out and do different things, and that is one reason I'm very happy to see that Frosty Fridays are back at the Carlson Ice Arena.

Rockford Park District public ice skating sessions are back in general, (so are their learn-to-skate programs), but one of the things that makes Frosty Fridays so cool is that  you can take the whole family skating at a discounted rate.

According to a recent Rockford Park District press release;

Frosty Fridays discounted indoor public ice skating sessions are scheduled every Friday through May 21, 2021, from 8:00 until 10:00 p.m. Admission is $7.00 per person (all ages), and includes skate rental; no discount coupons accepted

Since the whole COVID-19 pandemic isn't fully behind us yet, anyone interested in going to a Rockford Park District public ice skating session, including Frosty Fridays, is required to reserve tickets in advance. You can reserve tickets for all RPD public ice skating sessions now at rockfordparkdistrict.org/publicskate

The Rockford Park District is working hard to follow all current Illinois COVID-19 mitigations, so all skaters will need to wear a facemask on the ice, and RPD staff will likely conduct a quick health screening upon entering the Carlson Ice Arena.
