Live theater is my jam. Give me tickets to a musical, and you just put me in one of my happiest places. I used to do shows in my WAY younger years, and I LOVED being a part of the theater magic. Since I have zero time to be IN a show right now, watching a good show is the next best thing, and I just found one show I want to take my whole family to in Rockford next weekend.

I have seen a lot of musical theater in my life, but one show I haven't caught yet is 'Shrek the Musical'. IMDB.com describes the show like this;

What's even more awesome about the production of 'Shrek the Musical' that is coming to Rockford next weekend is that all of the performances have an even bigger purpose; to raise money for Gigi's Playhouse in Rockford. In case you don't know, Gigi's Playhouse is a treasured resource for families and kids with Down syndrome in the Stateline area, and they deserve an outpouring of community support.
