Are you planning on a raise for 2016? A new study says most employers are willing to accommodate you, but perhaps not to the level you might like.

The survey by global professional services company Towers Watson is based on a nationwide survey of more than 1,100 U.S. companies. According to the report, 98% of respondents are planning to give employees average pay hikes of 3% in 2016 for their non-management employees. Marketwatch.com reports:

The highest performing workers are getting better increases: 4.6% this year, up from the 2.6% given to the workers with the highest performing ratings last year, the study found. Below-average performance ratings received salary increases of less than 1%.

The report also indicates many companies are introducing more bonuses rather than linking salary increases to performance. More than eight in 10 non-management employees (85%) received a bonus this year.
