Looks like more than just fans are happy with the turn around of Illini athletics.

It's been a pretty bad decade for fans of Illini sports. At least in the two big money makers, football and basketball.

Josh Whitman was brought to Champaign to turn things around, and while it took a little bit, he seems to have done it.

Lovie Smith and the football team are bowl eligible for the first time in almost a decade and Brad Underwood looks to have the basketball team on the verge of seriously competing again in the Big Ten.

Is the magic back in Champaign-Urbana? Little early to tell but things are definitely pointed in the right direction.
