I realize that destinations are a very subjective thing. But, I have found what I believe is the best day trip you can possibly take from Missouri and I'll try to prove it with science.

I don't know about you, but when I try to get away from it all, I really do try to get away from everything. That's kind of the idea. If you agree, there's a cabin I've found hidden in the middle of the woods in central Illinois that looks like a good option.
I'm a fan of waterfalls so there's a good chance that I'm not being objective about this, but I believe that Thunder Bay Falls in Illinois is more than worth a road trip. I'll attempt to prove my point of why you might want to bucket list this water sight.
