State Rep. Ron Sandack joined "Riley & Scot" this week to discuss his municipal bankruptcy bill, which would allow Illinois cities and communities to declare Chapter 9 bankruptcy to restructure debt and pay back creditors. Though saying he would not necessarily use the option, Rockford Mayor Larry Morrissey has been vocal in his support for the measure.

We also talked about another bill sponsored by Sandack which would eliminate the requirement for students to take four years of physical education. The measure would afford schools boards, teachers, and students more flexibility and choice in setting their own priorities.
