In light of the recent violence in the city of Rockford, 7th Ward Alderman Ann Thompson-Kelly will host a Town Hall Meeting focusing on community concerns about criminal activity.

According to a press release, the public meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 4 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Rockford Health Systems Auditorium located at 2400 N. Rockton Avenue. Speakers for the night’s event will include Winnebago County Chairman Scott Christensen, State Rep.  Litesa Wallace, Winnebago County Sherriff Gary Caruana, Assistant State’s Attorney Marilyn Hite Ross, Transform Rockford’s Patrick O’Keefe, Rockford Housing Authority CEO Ron Clewer, Neighborhood Network Executive Director Cyndie Hall, City of Rockford staff representing public works and community development, and Alderman Thompson-Kelly.

The Town Hall Meeting is free and open to the public.  Parking is available in the hospital lots.
