A Winnebago County Grand Jury has charged a man for the murder of a woman found dead in November 2008.

According to a press release, 49-year-old James E. Williams is facing a four count bill of indictment in connection with the death of Chaundra Davis. Williams has been charged with three counts of first degree murder and one count of concealment of a homicidal death.

Chaundra Davis was reported missing to the Rockford Police Department on November 8, 2008. The 38-year-old's body was found in the Rock River on November 22. Autopsy results showed Davis died from trauma to her head.

Williams is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Friday.
