This morning, it was proven to me once again that you're never too old to learn something new. Take the luna moth, for example. I had never even heard of these magnificent creatures until Laura Gibbs-Green of the Rockford Park District clued me in about a cool opportunity to see them tonight and tomorrow at Nicholas Conservatory.

For those (like me) who are unfamiliar:

Pretty cool, eh? Well, the Rockford Park District knows there's a lot more enjoyable way to learn about, and spend time with these luna moths than staring at your computer monitor.

Tonight (Friday, 4/29/16) and tomorrow, Nicholas Conservatory is celebrating "Luna Nights."  Just stop by Nicholas Conservatory between the hours of 5pm-9pm, and Luna Nights is included with your regular paid conservatory admission.

It'll be fun for both kids and adults, with hands-on acitivities, education stations, and more. You're also encouraged to wear your best glowing accessories. Plus, given the spate of cold, wet weather we've been dealing with, stepping into the tropical environment of Nicholas Conservatory will a nice break from the shivering and soaking we've been doing far too much of lately.
