I'll admit it. I'm the guy. I'm the person who actually liked Crystal Pepsi when it was sold in the 90s. I can't say I loved it with an all-consuming passion that would drive me to madness, but I though it tasted pretty good.

For those who didn't get around to giving it a try before it was pulled from shelves, or perhaps were too young to even remember the product, it appears you'll get a second chance soon.

According to Advertising Age, Pepsi is hinting that Crystal Pepsi is poised for a comeback:

On Tuesday, the cola giant sent its strongest signal yet that Crystal might soon be available again by responding to one of its biggest fans, competitive eating star Kevin Strahle. Mr. Strahle, who goes by the name L.A. Beast on Twitter, tweeted an image of a message he said he received from Pepsi that stated: "We definitely hear you and all your followers and we think you'll all be happy with what's in store."

According to the story, a PepsiCo spokeswoman confirmed the authenticity of the message. However, she declined to provide any further details.

Crystal Pepsi was introduced in 1992 but failed to find an audience despite more than $40 million in advertising. Although it did leave behind this great Super Bowl commercial:
