Quarter Size Hail Forecast For Rockford and the Stateline

Weather could turn hazardous this afternoon and tonight, with the possibility of quarter size hail in the Rockford area.The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather advisory for the following Illinois counties in the Stateline:

• Winnebago
• Boone
• McHenry
• Lake
• Ogle
• DeKalb

If you venture outside this afternoon and evening, you risk and elevated thunderstorm risk with the potential for hail up to quarter size and winds in excess of 60 mph.
