Little did Bear fans know what kind of foreshadowing this would be.

First of all, let's get this out of the way.

When you think of Cody Parkey hitting goalposts, this is the play you think of. The Double Doink. It was also the last time watching the Bears was actually fun.

This silver lining from the 4-doink game was that the Bears actually won that game over the Lions. It was kind of a "hahaha, good thing we didn't need those" kind of feel.

I don't know if that is a record or not. It kind of has to be I think. The internet wasn't sure:

That first link is great BTW:

A quad-doink on a GW FG attempt. Less impressive than Parkey's four separate kicks and while a quad-doink is a worse way to lose a game than a double doink, the Bears loss was in an NFL playoff game, that was a game between Rice and (checks notes....) Middle Tennessee State. The playoff loss is a little harder to take.

Cody Parkey is currently kicking for the Cleveland Browns and is 10-for-11 on FGs this season and 22-for-23 on extra points. The good news for Parkey is that since he's playing for the Browns he probably won't have to make any pressure playoff kicks.
