This Friday is the first show of the season for the Loves Park Ski Broncs.

Water Skiing

I can not complain too much about growing up because my parents took me to a lot of fun things as a kid.

One particular annual event that sticks out in my head is a water ski competition at Lamb's Farm in Libertyville. Teams from all over the country came there to compete.

The stunts were amazing. Those huge human pyramids would blow me away. The ski jumping was so exciting.

I always wanted to try water skiing but I did not have the opportunity until I was a senior in high school. My friend had a lake house in Wisconsin and we went up there for a weekend. I was not good but I still had a lot of fun giving it a try.

Loves Park Ski Broncs

When I first came to Rockford, I remember driving down North Second Street in Loves Park and seeing the sign promoting the Ski Broncs show.

I asked a couple of people about the team and they suggested checking it out, so I went to one of their performances. I was really impressed. I have been a few times through the years.

In fact, I was out there a couple of years ago for their "Scooby-Doo" show. That was so much fun.
