Local Blood Donations Are Down Due to Flu and Bad Weather
Freezing temperatures, along with snow & ice, have joined forces with the flu epidemic to keep many regular blood donors away from the Rock River Valley Blood Center (RRVBC).
Our good friend Jennifer Bowman from the RRVBC was scheduled to visit with us on Tuesday, but she was home sick with a bad case of the flu. Unfortunately, as she explained to us, that's been a very common theme this winter season when it comes to blood donation:
