Congressman Adam Kinzinger joined us Monday morning on the show with three huge stories on the agenda: 1) the DHS funding bill 2) the FCC voting to regulate the internet and 3) Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaking to a joint session of Congress.

We spent a majority of our time on the first topic regarding the bill passed and signed on Friday that funded the Department of Homeland Security for one week. It's safe to say the Congressman is upset with how this all played out. He told us all these budget “crises” in D.C. harm the perception of the U.S. abroad. Kinzinger called the 50+ House GOP members who voted against a 3-week DHS funding extension on Friday “phony conservatives.” And he's worried the whole thing has distracted from the President's unpopular Keystone veto and this week's important speech Prime Minister Netanyahu.
