It was a pleasure this week to welcome Judge Andrew Napolitano on the program for his inaugural visit. We certainly hope it won't be his last.

The Judge was with us to discuss his new book, "Suicide Pact: The Radical Expansion of Presidential Powers and the Assault on Civil Liberties". In it, he takes on presidential power grabs performed in the name of national security. From the Alien and Sedition Acts of 1798 through NSA surveillance, drone warfare and secret federal courts of 2014, Suicide Pact provides an analysis of the long history of governmental encroachments on liberty.

The Judge told us he focused special attention in the book to the George W. Bush and Barack Obama administrations. He discussed how the people, Congress and even the Supreme Court have aided and abetted in the problem. As the book jacket says, Suicide Pact is a wake-up call for Americans to stop surrendering our freedom and to demand a return to a balanced government that works to ensure our liberties

How have Americans allowed this problem to escalate through the years? Is there no turning back? Here's our full conversation with Judge Napolitano:
