I'm betting he could feel an unusual breeze. Or, maybe it was his commentary on being overtaken at the end of the race. Who knows? All I know for sure is that this race will add an interesting piece of video to jockey Blake Shinn's highlight reel.

Jockey Blake Shinn was leading at Canterbury before his nearest competitor, Tommy Berry, overtook him on the final turn. Trying to regain his lead in the final straightaway, Shinn stood up on his horse, but it didn’t work. And didn’t just not work: the elastic on his pants snapped, so when he lifted up, Shinn accidentally mooned the crowd.

And, Blake Shinn's take on things?

"I was more worried about winning the race. They [the pants] went just after the start and there was nothing I could do," Shinn said. "I think a lot of people are going to have a bit of fun with this, but they can't say I wasn't focused and went to the line."
