For most of the years of the Obama administration, Sheryl Attkisson had been one of the toughest, most well-respected journalists covering the goings-on in the White House and around Washington.

She is, after all, an Emmy award winning investigative journalist and author. And she was a Washington-based correspondent for CBS News from 1995 until she resigned earlier this year. She delves into the topic during our conversation, but it's safe to say she no longer thought the network was supportive of her work.

Since then, Attkisson has been working through her own website and also contributing to The Daily Signal. We talked with her about her most recent pieces posted which were about possible destruction of documents regarding the Benghazi attacks and the security (or lack thereof) on the Obamacare website.

We also talked with her about her forthcoming book, "Stonewalled," which documents the hurdles thrown in front of her over the past few years as she tried to do her work in Washington. The book also covers:

...how she has been electronically surveilled while digging deep into the Obama Administration and its scandals, and offers an incisive critique of her industry and the shrinking role of investigative journalism in today’s media.
