Last week, the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) released details on a recall by BrucePac of Durant, Oklahoma involving nearly 10 million pounds (9,986,245 pounds to be exact) of ready-to-eat meat and poultry products because routine testing had confirmed the presence of Listeria monocytogenes.

That's bad enough, but then things got worse (or expanded) when it comes to the food products being recalled.

After federal health officials released a three-page list of 75 products included in the recall, they released another product list the next day of dozens of additional items sold at Walmart, Trader Joe's, Aldi and H-E-B.

If you thought the recall was limited to only meat and poultry ready-to-eat items, get ready to start looking for other things like salads and wraps, too.

Keep In Mind That This Recall Is Happening While A Previous Recall Of Boar's Head Deli Meats And Liverwurst Is Still Being Investigated

The listeria outbreak tied to the Boar's Head products has been going on for over three months, has killed ten people, and made nearly 60 people sick in 19 states, including Illinois.

With the current recall of BrucePac food products, the USDA's FSIS says that there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of the products. They recommend anyone who's concerned about an illness should contact a healthcare provider.

The first list of recalled BrucePac products, all three pages and around 75 items, can be found here.
