The Harlem girls bowling team won the U.S. High School Bowling National Championships in Smyrna, Tennessee this past weekend, while the boys team finished second place, falling to Sun Prairie in the title match.

Teams from 22 states competed. To be eligible, the schools either had to set a national title or win a state title. Harlem made NIC-10 and state history this past winter by winning both the boys and girls state titles.

Stephanie Richards finished fourth individually for Harlem and Becca Hagerman was sixth. On the boys side, Jacob Nimtz placed third individually, while Kyler Gerl took sixth and Noah Mandujano eighth.
