Visit the Holiday Tree Show at Lincoln-Tallman House in Janesville, Wisconsin
I am ashamed to admit that I didn't know until today that a really cool historical house, tied to Abraham Lincoln, exists in Janesville, Wisconsin. Now that I know about it, I REALLY want to go see it, especially now during the holiday season!
Every year starting Thanksgiving weekend through the end of December, the Rock County Historical Society hosts a Holiday Tree Show at the historical Lincoln-Tallman House located at 440 N Jackson St. in Janesville. Not only does the Lincoln-Tallman House have a bunch of fascinating facts and stories to share, but it gets dressed to the 9's during the holiday season thanks to many Janesville-area businesses, organizations, and families.
The Rock County Historical Society describes their Holiday Tree Show like this;
With more than 130 trees and decorations throughout the historic mansion, each is uniquely bejeweled by a local business, nonprofit or family. From nostalgic to patriotic, opulent and handmade, each tree has been decorated with loving imagination at this year’s show – larger and more joyous than ever before! Open-house-style tours are ideal for adults and children alike.
Doesn't that sound like something you HAVE to see?!?
