City of Rockford Says Sorry After Someone Hacked Traffic Sign With Profanity

Someone had degenerate fun with an electronic traffic sign in Rockford over the weekend. However, the NSFW messages were spotted and reported to city officials. The electronic traffic sign near Jefferson Street Bridge was one haked. It appears as though the messages were about the POTUS. At least one of the messages read, "%$#@ Trump."

The sign is not operated by the City of Rockford, according to MyStateline.com, but rather a contractor.

We are confident our contractor is working to avoid such incidents in the future.

Politics aside, I chuckled when I read the sign, but it's definitely not something I'm ready to explain to my small children. I totally understand the concern.
