For me, wineries aren't just about the drinking. It's the whole atmosphere that I fall in love with. On top of that, I love to gawk at the views of the vineyard. Getting your girls together and planning outfits adds even more to the fun! People have been recommending these spots to me for a while, so here are some wineries in Illinois that are on my bucket list to visit this summer!
5 of the Best Wineries to Visit in Illinois This Summer
Blue Sky Vineyard - 3150 S. Rocky Comfort Road, Makanda, IL 62958
I'm a total sucker for having a glass of wine while looking at amazing scenery. You get to overlook the Shawnee National Forest here, are you kidding? That along with some live music would be such a fun time.
Galena Cellars Vineyard - 4746 N. Ford Road, Galena, IL 61036
OK, not going to lie I'd be all over their peach wine! But I'd honestly love to try all of their award-winning wines. This place looks like the perfect summer outing. Their food looks delicious too!
Fergedaboudit Vineyard & Winery - 4595 W Speer Road, Hanover, IL 61041
The name of this vineyard was enough to catch my attention haha! They have a motto. "Sit Back, Relax and Fergedaboudit!" That alone is enough to get me eager to check it out. Plus, it's yet another spot where the scenery is stunning!
Rocky Waters Vineyard and Winery - 2003 W. Hanover Road, Hanover, IL 61041
Don't mind me just plotting to spend the rest of my life here. I'm following them on Instagram because of their beautiful nature photos of their vineyard. The issue is, after a couple of glasses of wine, it might be hard for me to leave this beautiful of a place haha.

Lynfred Winery - 15 S. Roselle Road, Roselle, IL 60172
Last, but certainly not least. Maybe it's just me, but there seems to be a lot that goes on here based on what I see on their social media. It even appears they do yoga there, that would certainly be interesting haha! Also, do they have people submit photos of their wine while out traveling? There are pictures of beaches and the Eiffel Tower (both with their bottles in the picture.) That's so cool! This place looks so fancy and fun!
Hopefully, I'll get the chance to visit these places soon. It would be so much fun! What Illinois wineries do you enjoy most? Check out below for even more restaurant and winery fun!
