Among the players already committed for the 5-on-5 open division August 11 at UW Health Sports Factory:

  • Former Winnebago star and current pro player Marcus Posley
  • Retired pro player Joel Box
  • Kent State star and current player Anthony Simpson
  • Former Winnebago and Western Virginia star Devan Bawinkel
  • Former Hononegah and Western Michigan star David Brown

The tournament is the brainchild of former South Beloit basketball coach and current Rockford Public Schools Athletic Director Mat Parker. Parker and his former players and assistant coaches started the tournament in honor of Antonio Little. Little was a player for Parker at South Beloit and employee of the YMCA who drowned in 2015 at the age of 24. You can learn more about Little and the story behind the tournament by clicking here.

This year, the tournament will occupy the entire complex and will have an open division, a middle school and elementary division as well as a wheelchair division.

If you'd like to volunteer, play or organize a team, contact Parker at cheparker20@gmail.com or call 815-558-4980.
