I was highly intrigued by a post this morning by Ramesh Ponnuru on The Corner at National Review. It was short, simple, and to the point:

You have to choose (for the purposes of this comment section) among Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, and Mitt Romney to be the next Republican presidential nominee. Rank your choices and explain your rankings. No substituting hemlock or the like.

(Apologies for excerpting the enitre post, but that's literally the whole thing.)

I love the idea of this thought experiment. All three candidates have strengths. All have served/are serving as a governor. Conservatives, generally, have large problems with at least portions of each candidates platform. Yet all three enjoy support from the "establishment" wing of the party. All three likely could find significant financial support for a run at the nomination. And all three are said to be interested in, or at least entertaining the notion, of running in 2016.

I'm interested in the response from our audience as well. I understand there are other candidates you might like better. Right now I'm intrigued by Scott Walker and Bobby Jindal, but there's a long way to go and many hurdles yet to clear for any candidate. So answer the question and leave any comments below:
