That's because Mediafeed outlined the most Beautiful US Vacation Spots Where You Can Actually Retire and one of them just so happens to be in Wisconsin.

The top 10 on the list are littered with places in Florida, which for all intents and purposes is the premier retirement state, but a few did make it in the midwest.

One of those midwest cities on the list from Mediafeed is Marinette, Wisconsin.

According to their research, monthly housing costs are slightly above $650, and just about 25% of residents who live there are 65 or older.

Vacation homes in Marinette are just under 30% and the average daily temperature is only 43.

So while it's not quite Florida, you're going to save money, and if being close to the family is very important to you, apparently, you could do much worse than living in Marinette.
