MyStateline.com is reporting that, "Patrol officers from the Rockford Housing Authority Police were on patrol in the area of School Street and Avon Street when they say they saw a Ford Taurus driving recklessly and attempted to stop the car. The driver did not stop and fled until the 300 block of Oakley Avenue where the driver lost control and crashed into an abandoned house."

After crashing, the suspects fled the scene, but were eventually located thanks to quick work by Rockford Police Officers and residents in the area. The two 14-year-old girls were taken into custody.

The driver, later identified as a Freeport runaway, stole the vehicle in Freeport. Minor injuries occurred during the crash and were treated at the hospital.

According to MyStateline.com, "The driver was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Hit and Run, Fleeing to Elude, No Valid Driver's License and Leaving the Scene of an Accident. The passenger was charged with Criminal Trespass to a Vehicle. Both girls were taken to the Juvenile Detention Center."

Let this be a lesson to ANYONE that tries to outrun the police in a vehicle. You can always outrun a cop, but you can never outrun a cops radio.
