Which Illinois City is Most Trash Talked? It’s Not Chicago

Recently, a Reddit thread asked users which city in their state was "dunked on" the most.

The answers were fascinating but if you have lived in the Midwest (particularly Illinois) for long enough will likely be able to guess the answers for the surrounding states.

WISCONSIN

In Wisconsin, in what may not be a surprise to some, Beloit is the most "dunked on" state in America's dairyland.

INDIANA

Indiana has a lot of beauty, fun, and uniqueness, but also has the city of Gary, which has insane crime.

KENTUCKY

I don't know much about Kentucky other than Convington, KY sells alcohol earlier Sunday mornings. This is great if you're in Cincinnati for a Bengals game.

MISSOURI

It's not trashy but very tourist-y. It's Branson.

I don't know anything about Iowa other than the Iowa Cubs, there are some casinos, and lots of corn. Also, there is Council Bluffs. That is not of the of the cities I've heard of in Iowa.

ILLINOIS

Illinois is a toss-up, the quick answer could be a fun debate. Sure, there is a lot to do but the traffic, prices for food/drinks/fun, and flight problems at either O'Hare and Midway International Airports could make it pheasible to dislike Chi-town. But, you would be wrong.

The city in Illinois getting dunked on the most, according to Redditors, Rockford gets the honor.
