I fondly remember (both times) when my wife, Amy, informed me that our family would be growing. The first time, she came running out of the bathroom, loudly exclaiming "Yes! Yes!" at the top of her lungs. After wise-cracking that I had also shouted the same thing after leaving the bathroom earlier, she quickly pointed out the her joy was for a different, and far less crude reason. She then held up the pregnancy test, which clearly indicated that the stork was going to visit. While not floored, I must admit that I was taken by surprise, as were our two friends who happened to be visiting from out of town. The second time was very similar to the first, with Amy again waving a positive pregnancy test in the air while dancing with joy. Bottom line: she dropped the news on me, as is usually the tradition.
