I saw this pop up in my Facebook feed and had to share. If you're watching Game 5 of the National League Championship Series, tune in early because a member of a band I really enjoy is singing the anthem:

Tim Bluhm is a member of The Mother Hips, a band out of San Francisco (of course) that's been around for about 20 years. Allmusic.com describes them as "earthy pop jam rockers" and I suppose that's mostly correct. They have great vocal harmonies, an ear for a good hook, and aren't afraid to turn up the amps at times.
If you know of them it might be due to the fact they had a couple of songs available as playable tracks on Rock Band, "Time We Had" and "Time Sick Son of a Grizzly Bear".
If you find yourself really enjoying Tim Bluhm's voice tonight and are looking for a place to start with the band, I highly recommend the album "Green Hills of Earth". Here's a couple of my favorite tracks from The Mother Hips:
