In case you have not heard the news, Roger Hedgecock is retiring from his daily radio show at the end of March. His final program will be March 27. Roger’s program has been an huge part of station since he began airing in 2009 and we wish him the best as he leaves the airwaves.

We're excited to announce The Hugh Hewitt Show will join the daily lineup on WROK from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m beginning Monday, March 30. You might already tune in for his “Best Of” program Saturdays on the station. Hugh is a lawyer, law professor, and broadcast journalist. He served for nearly six years in the Reagan Administration in a variety of posts, including Assistant Counsel in the White House and Special Assistant to two Attorneys General. He’s an Ohio native (and big Buckeyes and Cleveland Indians/Browns fan) who landed in California in 1989 to oversee the construction of the Nixon Library in Yorba Linda. His show has been airing nationally since July of 2000.

Hugh recently broke the big news that Mitt Romney would not be running for President in 2016. His guest lists are a “Who’s Who” of newsmakers in politics and current events. Just in the past few weeks Bill O’Reilly, Chuck Todd, Gov. Rick Perry, former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, Karl Rove, Stephen Hayes, Mark Steyn, Sen. Tom Cotton, Victor Davis Hanson, Gov. Bobby Jindal, Jim Talent, Sen. Rick Santorum, Sen. Rob Portman, and Donald Trump have been on the program. As Hugh said recently, his show is making news, not just talking about the news, on a daily basis.

Hugh has become a frequent guest on Chuck Todd’s “Meet the Press” on NBC and has been selected as one of the questioners in a CNN Republican Presidential debate in September. If you want to know a little bit more, he’ll join us on “Riley & Scot” at 8:35am on March 27 to talk about joining the station. You also can learn more about Hugh and his show by reading these recent profiles in National Journal and at the Huffington Post.
