It's easy to look back and history say that something was a mistake when you know what took place. At the time, it looked like it would become one of Missouri's premier summer fun destinations. Now, there's little left of the abandoned Missouri waterpark that never should have been.

In the 1980s this waterpark (with a very interesting name) was one of THE places to go in Illinois, and now it lays ruins which are still visible today.

There's not much left inside of what used to be a fun little waterpark in Illinois. While much of the structure remains intact, it's a shadow of its former self before it was closed after being condemned.

I've got good waterslide news and then more great waterslide news. First, there is a new tallest waterslide in America and it towers 145 feet over the Wisconsin Dells. The second good news is it opens Memorial Day Weekend.
